Project Status: 2nd Prototype 〰️

A Manor of Sneaking is a fast-paced tabletop game of stealth, risk-taking, and mad loot. Rival thieves take turns raiding a massive mansion, trying to escape with their loot (and their lives) without being caught. Will you take the money and run, or will you risk it all for one more coin?

Q: How do I steal stuff?

Being a master thief is quite simple, actually! Just draw a card from the central deck, roll a die, and as long as it’s not a one, you’ve successfully stolen that item!

Q: What’s the catch?

Well, just because you’ve stolen something doesn’t mean you own it. If you want to add your ill-gotten gains to your possession, you’ll need to escape the mansion by ending your turn. But…instead, why not keep going? Why not draw another card?

Q: I don’t know. Why not?

Because if you ever roll a one, you Blunder. That means you lose everything you stole this turn and walk away with nothing. Feel like pressing your luck?

Loot comes in three flavors of rarity

  • Lots of these!

  • Some of these!

  • Only a few of these!

But you can also steal Thieves’ Tools to give you special abilities on subsequent turns!

Q: So what’s the status of this one?

This is one of my oldest prototypes, and also my most tested and revised! It’s currently on a full 2.0 revision and ready to begin a new round of testing! Early reviews have been positive on this one, so I’m definitely keeping it in active rotation.

Q: Speaking of this being an old prototype…

Yes, I’m aware this has the worst photoshop work of the bunch. More than any of my other projects, this one needs a serious art pass. That’s one of the big next-steps for the game.

Q: This is a running theme, isn’t it?

Look, I’m a game designer, not a graphic designer. Reaching out for art is going to be a major element of making all my prototypes a reality, and that requires a lot of money and coordination, but I’m finally in a place where I can start making it a reality. I believe strongly in all my active prototypes, and I hope you will to. Watch this space! There’s even more coming!
